Dade County Court Dates

To pin down a Dade County court date, start with the Clerk of Superior and Juvenile Courts, the office that keeps the calendars for this county's courts. Start small. Figure out which court holds your case and what kind of setting it is, since a criminal hearing and a civil motion may appear on different lists. The clerk posts selected civil and criminal calendars online, and the docket itself, the court that owns the case, or your lawyer may hold more scheduling details than any printed list shows. Calendars get amended, so check for updated PDFs and any closure or video notices before you head out. A Dade County court date on a calendar tells you when a matter is set. It does not replace the case file or a call to the clerk.

Dade County Court Calendars Explained

The Dade Clerk Court Calendars page is where the county's public calendars live. What you get is a static shelf of dated PDF links. It is not a database you can search by date range. Civil and criminal settings sit in separate groups. Click a label and the matching calendar opens. This shelf stands apart from the Dade Superior Court Icon login. It also stands apart from PeachCourt's civil document-access route. A PDF lists scheduled events, not every filing or later order. No separate Dade State Court appears in the current public listings. The Clerk's video-conference notice changes over time. The current index is what governs a live Dade County court date.

Dade's Calendar Index Is a PDF Shelf

The shelf works best when the court and type of event are already known. Civil links run from circuit and pre-trial calendars to amended pre-trial versions. Hearing, trial, and non-jury versions are there too. Criminal links cover arraignment, felony call, and misdemeanor call.

Anything in the lower court takes a different route. Use the Dade Magistrate directory and the cases and matters page instead. Those route preliminary hearings, bonds, warrants, county ordinances, and civil claims under the local limit. Magistrate dates never fold into the Superior shelf.

The directory image is a reminder that lower-court dates run through a different office. For a Superior calendar, go back to the Clerk's dated PDF index.

Finding Your Court Date

Start with the court named on your notice, citation, case papers, or prior order. In a Dade Superior civil or felony criminal matter, that means the Clerk's calendar index, the local Court Docket link, and any current notice from the court or counsel. The Dade Superior Court Icon route is the official local portal, but it opens without a public result grid; visitors hit a login boundary with a VIEW user name field and nothing else. Treat it as the portal, not as a verified guest search.

  1. Identify Superior, Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile, or Trenton Municipal Court. Federal cases belong to the Northern District of Georgia Rome division.
  2. Open the Clerk's civil or criminal shelf and choose the dated PDF matching the event family.
  3. Use the PDF find tool for the case number or carefully checked case style.
  4. Check date, time, event type, location or remote note, printed date, and any amended PDF.
  5. Confirm a changed or missing setting with the owning office. For Superior Court, call 706-657-4778 or visit 255 W. Crabtree Street, Suite 103.

When the PDF shelf falls short, other channels exist. The Clerk's counter answers date questions at P.O. Box 417, Trenton, Georgia 30752. Dade Superior civil e-access runs through PeachCourt, which requires an account. EZ-Filing handles criminal filing, not public search. The Georgia Courts e-access map routes you to providers; it is not one central Dade search box. Counsel's current notice helps, but confirm any conflict with the court or Clerk.

Know the case number but not the next event? The Dade County Case Lookup is the logical next step. Remember that a case result and a calendar PDF answer different questions. The current setting source still has to confirm the date.

Dade County Calendar Labels

Every civil label points to a different scheduled task. Civil Circuit and Civil Pre-Trial Calendars organize circuit work. An Amended Civil Pre-Trial Calendar signals revision. Civil Hearing, Civil Trial, and Civil Non-Jury Calendars split hearing purposes and formats. A single hearing entry can show cause, service date, answer date, and attorney-side information.

On the criminal side, an Arraignment Calendar names the setting and charge fields. Felony Calendar Call ties to circuit readiness work. Misdemeanor Calendar Call is listed separately. Open the newest PDF for exact fields. A charge or count there is just a setting field, not a final disposition.

Calendar call
A circuit criminal setting used to call cases, assess readiness, and organize jury-week work.
Pre-trial
A scheduled stage before trial; the label does not by itself state what motions or issues will be heard.
Non-jury
A calendar label for a bench setting, where the judge is the fact finder rather than a jury.
Printed date
The date shown on the PDF itself, which helps distinguish a newer snapshot from an older saved copy.

How to Read a Court Setting

A Dade civil hearing entry usually leads with case number and style. Then come hearing date and time. After that may come filing date, cause, parties, service and answer dates, attorney-side information, phone, notes, and the printed calendar date. Read carefully. A filing date is not a hearing date. Service or answer data is not the full document file.

Criminal entries add more fields. These can include count, charge or classification, offense date, counsel, bond type and amount, bondsman, a bench-warrant date when displayed, and notes. A printed charge describes an allegation or scheduled matter. It says nothing about the final result.

DateThe scheduled day for the hearing, call, trial, or other setting.
TimeThe time printed for the setting; a calendar call may organize several matters rather than promise an individual start.
Courtroom or locationUse the location or remote note supplied by the current notice; the inspected field samples did not establish one fixed room for every Dade calendar.
Judge or calendar headingThe presiding court or judge named on the calendar heading, when shown.
Setting typeArraignment, pre-trial, hearing, trial, non-jury, calendar call, or another label chosen by the Clerk.

A calendar entry is a snapshot, useful but limited. It is not the filed order, judgment, transcript, or certified copy behind the event. When the question is what happened rather than when something is set, ask the owning clerk for the specific docket entry or document.

Amended Dade Court Calendars

An amended PDF means the published schedule was revised. That is all it means. No dismissal is implied, and an older file vanishing does not prove a continuance. The Dade index has shown an Amended Civil Pre-Trial Calendar. Check the same calendar family before trusting a saved copy.

Read the printed date and compare it with the link or notice. If the case is absent, try another calendar family. Also try the local docket route, the Magistrate matters page, and the Clerk's current calendar index. Staff can explain where a record is kept but cannot give legal advice. Dated links may change.

Dade County court calendar context for Magistrate court dates and matters

A Superior Court amendment will not rewrite a Magistrate calendar.

Continuances, Resets, and Cancellations

Three words get confused here. A reset moves an event to a new date. A continuance is a delay the court approves. A cancellation wipes a setting off the calendar or alters it. The public PDF rarely says which one happened. So a link that quietly vanishes proves nothing about a continuance.

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit standing order is clear. Only the presiding judge can approve a removal or continuance under it. Set the newest Clerk PDF beside the circuit calendar before you draw any conclusion. Then call the Clerk or the circuit office to confirm what the docket actually shows. The Dade calendar page offers no public request form, subscription, text alert, or email alert. Follow the court's approved process, or your counsel's instruction.

Dade LMJC Calendar Call, Friday Status

Dade sits in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit alongside Catoosa, Chattooga, and Walker Counties. The circuit's criminal standing orders describe a calendar call. It comes at the start of a designated jury week. Cases still pending after that move to Friday status. There, counsel announces ready, not ready with an explanation, a dismissal, or another non-jury disposition.

Friday practice is no promise of a uniform path for every case. Represented defendants may be excused from attending, though the order invites them. The current calendar, the judge's order, and counsel control the outcome, in that order. Check the LMJC standing orders for the binding text. The Dade Probate Court page shows why. A calendar always belongs with its owning court.

Dade County court dates and Probate Court calendar routing

A Probate setting belongs to Probate Court, not to an LMJC felony calendar call. Confirming which court owns the date is the first check in any Dade scheduling question.

Dade County Terms and Hearing Dates

Terms of court are broad statutory periods. They are not the day-to-day hearing dates printed in the Clerk's PDFs. Official terms material fixes Dade's Lookout Mountain Circuit terms. They fall on the first Monday in April and the second Monday in October, under O.C.G.A. section 15-6-3. None of that tells you the time or room for a particular hearing.

A hearing date is tied to one case and one setting type. It might be a civil hearing. It might be a trial, an arraignment, a felony calendar call, or another event on the Clerk's shelf. The published terms-of-court reference gives the circuit framework. Then get the actual setting from the current Dade calendar PDF or from the Clerk directly. A separate Probate date goes through the Probate directory.

The directory page is a useful reminder. One term does not merge every Dade court into a single schedule. Probate, Magistrate, Juvenile, Trenton Municipal, and Superior dates each stay with the office that set them.

Dade County Emergency Court Settings

Weather, a courthouse closure, or a judicial emergency can shift deadlines, settings, and office operations. The Clerk News page posted a January 9, 2025 Declaration of Judicial Emergency. It ran under O.C.G.A. section 38-3-61 et seq. and Uniform Superior Court Rule 45. Read any dated notice for its scope and current effect.

Georgia Courts keeps a courthouse-closures page. It covers the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit and its four counties. Check it alongside the Dade Clerk and the owning court. The Clerk page schedules no video conferences. That status can change.

Schedule check: A current PDF, closure notice, and court or Clerk confirmation are stronger evidence than an old saved calendar, especially after an emergency declaration or weather event.

When a notice conflicts with a calendar, preserve both dates and ask the owning court which setting controls.

Dade Trenton Municipal Court Dates

Trenton Municipal Court is a city court of its own, not a Dade Superior division. City Hall sits at 12882 N Main Street. That is the address on the official Trenton municipal court page, in Trenton, Georgia 30752. The city directory lists 706-657-4167. Trenton publishes no public docket search form. It posts no calendar database or payment link.

For a citation naming Trenton Municipal Court, work by phone. Read the citation, call 706-657-4167, and confirm the date plus any appearance or change instruction. Georgia Courts warns that no centralized citation database exists. Online availability may lag 7 to 21 business days. Treat any locator as a fallback, never as proof of a current Trenton court date.

Trenton Municipal Court

City Hall

Trenton, GA 30752

The Trenton Docket Search route keeps the city court distinction intact. A Dade Superior matter goes through the Clerk's local route instead. A municipal citation and a county Superior setting are different records.

If You Miss a Court Setting

Act promptly if you missed a date or found a notice unclear. Confirm the court, the case number, and the setting type. Then call the clerk or court that owns it. For Superior, dial 706-657-4778. For Trenton Municipal Court, dial 706-657-4167. Magistrate, Probate, and Juvenile matters each have separate routes.

Never assume a missed setting was canceled or reset. A missing PDF proves nothing. Ask whether a new date, an order, a warrant, or other action has been entered. The Clerk can point you to the right record channel but cannot give legal advice. A licensed attorney can explain the proper response when the case requires one.

Missed a setting? A missed court date can have serious consequences, including a warrant or other court action in some matters.

Contact the owning court, Clerk, or counsel immediately and ask for the current status and next approved step.

Do not rely on an old Dade County court calendar, an absent PDF, or an unconfirmed video assumption as proof that no appearance is required.
